Acceptable Use Policy

This page describes termynl as it works today. It has not yet been reviewed by counsel and will be finalized before general availability.

This policy sets out what you may not do with the hosted termynl service. It is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to every User of a workspace, and to anything Tyn, a connected MCP app or an external agent does on a User's behalf. The User who asked for, or authorized, an action is responsible for it.

1. Absolutely prohibited: child sexual abuse material

You may not create, upload, store, generate, request or share any sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualizes minors. This applies whether the content is real, drawn, synthetic or AI-generated. There are no exceptions.

We remove such content, terminate the accounts and workspace involved without notice, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as U.S. law requires. We also preserve evidence and cooperate with law enforcement.

2. Illegal, harmful and infringing content

Content or activity that is illegal where you are, or in the United States.
Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property. This includes imported material you do not have the right to use.
Disclosing others' confidential information or trade secrets without the right to do so.
Harassment, threats, stalking, doxxing, or content that promotes violence, terrorism or violent extremism.
Content that attacks people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
Fraud, phishing, impersonation, or deceptive practices.

3. Personal data and regulated data

Do not put personal data into termynl without a lawful basis to process it. This includes data you obtained by scraping or without the people's knowledge where the law requires it.
Do not store protected health information, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or other regulated data that requires special agreements or certifications. termynl is not designed or certified for them.

4. Security and isolation

Do not access, or try to access, another workspace or data you are not authorized to see. This includes attempts to get around tenant isolation, sign-in, permissions, guest walls or sharing controls.
Do not probe, scan or load-test the service, or bypass rate limits, without our written permission.
Do not get around seat limits, the guest cap, billing, AI allowances or suspensions. For example, do not create accounts or workspaces to evade them.
Do not use sign-in, invitation or people-search features to discover whether email addresses or accounts exist.
Do not upload malware or content designed to damage, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to systems.
Do not interfere with the service or other customers' use of it.

Found a vulnerability? Report it to [email protected]. Good-faith research that stays within these rules, stops at the minimum needed to show the issue, and does not access, change or keep other people's data is welcome.

5. AI, agents and connected apps

Do not use Tyn, an MCP app or an external agent to do anything this policy forbids.
Do not use prompt injection or other techniques to make Tyn or a connected app act beyond the permissions of the User it acts for.
Follow the usage policies of the AI provider whose model you use, including Anthropic's Usage Policy and, when you use your own OpenAI key, OpenAI's usage policies.
Do not register an MCP app, or a name for one, that impersonates another person, company or product.
Do not use AI output to mislead people about who, or what, created it where that matters, such as passing off AI-generated content as a human's statement in a legal or safety context.

6. Email and invitations

Invitations and other emails termynl sends on your behalf must go only to people you have a legitimate reason to contact. Do not use them for spam, bulk unsolicited messages or harassment.

7. Resale and misuse of the service

Do not resell, sublicense or provide the hosted service to third parties as your own product without our written agreement.
Do not use the service to build a competing product by copying its features, design or documentation.
Do not use the service in violation of U.S. export controls or sanctions.

8. Enforcement

termynl does not routinely monitor Customer Content, and our staff tooling cannot read it. We act on reports and on signals we detect in operating the service. If we reasonably believe this policy has been violated, we may do any of the following:

remove or disable access to content;
suspend or terminate a User, an app authorization or a workspace;
notify the workspace owners;
report the matter to law enforcement.

We choose our response in proportion to the violation. Where practical and lawful, we give notice and a chance to fix the problem first. Section 1 violations are handled immediately, without notice.

9. Reporting abuse

To report a violation, email [email protected] with "Abuse" in the subject. Include links or item keys and a short description.

10. Changes

We may update this policy and will post changes on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes are notified as described in the Terms of Service.
